Zanna and Ben wrapped up my 2018 wedding season last September with their stunning day at the Lost Orangery at Euridge Manor. We had previously met at the start of their summer, when we took a stroll around Shad Thames for their engagement shoot.
I arrived early for bridal prep and had a lovely chilled morning with Zanna and her bridesmaids. Everyone was super relaxed and I enjoyed wandering the beautiful grounds to get portrait location ideas for later on. Sadly, it started raining just before the ceremony so we didn’t get to go outside. However, this venue has plenty of incredible indoor areas to make up for it!
Because of the rain, the outdoor ceremony in the Boat House didn’t happen, but instead in the Lost Orangery. It has got to be one of my favourite ever ceremony locations. It was so bright and airy with floor to ceiling windows, chandeliers and tropical palms.
The reception and wedding breakfast took place in the Ballroom, a converted swimming pool. Because of it’s original use, it had the most incredible pillared grotto entrance from The Orangery.
Zanna and Ben were so relaxed through the day and I loved how much fun everyone was having. Canapes came out whilst a band played and guests could pop outside to the yurt bar. In here you could find Singapore Sling cocktails, representing Zanna and Ben’s current home.
We did venture outside in the rain for 5 minutes to try portraits but we gave up pretty quickly as it wasn’t working. Instead, we went up to the Orangery and got some pretty portraits and group shots done there before the wedding breakfast.
Zanna and Ben both did speeches – I love it when a bride does a speech as well! The party started early with a really fun band back in the Orangery. Glow sticks came out immediately as well as a polaroid camera.
I left with a huge smile on my face after a super fun day. I stayed in a hotel nearby afterwards and then spent the next day exploring The Cotswolds – while I was so close, it would be rude not to!
This wedding shows that rain does not ruin the day!
