Hey! I’m Caroline…
Originally from a small village just outside of Winchester, I moved to London to study Radio Production at university. I had big ol’ dreams about becoming the next Zane Lowe…and whilst music is still a huge passion (give me a ticket to a gig and I’ll there dancing into the small hours), photography well and truly captured my heart.
I still live in London with my other half, and I am at my most content when planning my next trip somewhere hot (or cold…I love to travel!), working out, discovering great foodie hangouts and generally getting out and about amongst nature! If I’m not at home, you’ll likely find me on a Mini Adventure with my classic Mini Taka.
So, why photography?
My love for photography started when I received my first DSLR for my 21st birthday (thanks grandparents!), and I guess you can say the rest is history. I live for experimenting. I have shot my fair share of subjects, from nature and gigs to travel and food. But it was after second shooting weddings for a friend that I realised that capturing a couples special day was for me.
I rolled my sleeves up and soaked up everything I could possibly learn from my peers in the wedding industry.
I love photographing people, moments and emotions, but weddings also give the opportunity to provide beautiful still life, through venues and details. I love the on the spot creativity which is needed – no wedding is ever the same, and getting to know the couple/guests so you feel like one of the family by the end of the day is a true privilege.
What inspires me…
I’m inspired by nature and this is hugely reflected in my photography style. I love the outdoors and my dream would be to shoot a wedding in Yosemite or Big Sur. When it comes to shooting on a couples big day, I love golden hour portraits, capturing raw emotion, fleeting moments, capturing the details, soft and natural lighting, nature and human interactions.
I love shooting weddings in quirky venues – outdoors, barns, tipis, treehouses…anything with a bit of character, I’m there!
Travelling makes me feel alive and I love that my job allows me to see the world. So far, my 2020 diary includes weddings in Colorado and New Zealand. If you are looking for a destination wedding photographer, do get in touch with me to discuss your adventure!
