As a wedding photographer living on the border of London and Essex, The Barns at Lodge Farm wedding venue is my local! I’m so lucky to have such a beautiful venue on my doorstep. Barn weddings are my absolute favourites to photograph. Keep scrolling to see some of my photographs at The Barns at Lodge Farm and why I adore this Essex wedding venue.

A unique barn and tipi wedding venue in Essex
The Barns at Lodge Farm is a stunning barn and tipi Essex wedding venue with views of rolling farmland. It’s located in Nazeing, Epping, just outside of London. This makes it perfect for city dwellers who want to embrace the countryside on their wedding day! It’s easily accessible from the City and is utterly unique with huge amounts of potential.

The venue has several different wedding spaces, all located around a central yard and with views of the Essex hills around it. You can use the barns for your wedding, or use the meadow to host a marquee/tipi wedding.
The spaces for your wedding day
You can start your day at the Old Workshop. This is a newly renovated barn where you can get ready. It’s a light and airy space which as a wedding photographer I love, and has it’s own kitchen and sofas for a relaxed morning of bridal prep!

The Granary is the Barns at Lodge Farms’ famous tinder framed barn, which has a license for civil ceremonies. It’s one of the most unique wedding ceremony venues I’ve ever seen. Built in 1870, it’s very rustic and features original beams. It’s truly a gorgeous space to tie the knot in, and has room for 160 of your friends and family.

Once you’ve said your ‘I do’s’, you come straight into the yard area which is perfect for an outdoor drinks reception and entertainment. The Barns at Lodge Farm have also built a new bar area which opens out on to the yard. It’s a beautiful industrial chic space, and means you can get the party started whatever the weather!

The Grain Store is where the party really happens! This is a large modern barn with huge amounts of space for your wedding breakfast and dancing. It can accommodate 250 seated guests and has it’s own bar area. One side of it is large bifold glass doors so it’s full of light and perfect for summer evenings.

Planning your wedding at the Barns at Lodge Farm
If you’re planning a wedding at the Barns at Lodge Farm you’re in safe hands. Bryony the Venue Manager is absolutely lovely and had her own wedding here! With each wedding you’ll have your own Event Manager, run by Occasion Queens. I’ve met Nina several times and she is a wedding planning dream!

The venue has a single hire fee which gives you access to the entire venue from midday the day before your wedding, through to midday the day after. You can use the barns as your wedding venue, or use the meadow to host a tipi or marquee wedding. Or, use it as a glamping space! This venue really is versatile.
Prices start from £3000 on weekdays and £5000 on weekends. The hire fee includes a staffed bar, props, and an event manager.
The Barns at Lodge Farm Wedding Photographer
This is honestly one of my favourite Essex wedding venues to shoot at. It’s full of unique spaces which make it an incredible backdrop for your wedding photography. I love to make use of the countryside but the industrial features of the farm really make for interesting shots. I adore the hay bales, grain stores, and rustic barn doors. All of these make The Barns at Lodge Farm a wedding photographer’s dream!
