Today, I’m excited to share why Le Petit Chateau wedding venue in Northumberland has secured a special spot in my heart for my wedding photography. Join me as I share the 5 reasons I adore this unique wedding venue!
1. Wedding ceremonies in The Belle Époque
We start with the Belle Epoque, Le Petit Chateau’s french inspired chapel. The little photographer heart in me swoons every time I see it. From the huge marble fireplace to the shingle thatched roof, it’s a perfect blend of class and cuteness. It’s one of the most unique ceremony spaces I’ve ever seen. You don’t necessarily need to decorate in here, but floral installations around the fireplace ALWAYS look magical.
If you’re searching for a ceremony space with a unique touch, look no further. Photos here are always intimate and cosy, but with a touch of grandeur that I love!
2. Wedding photography outside Le Petit Chateau’s pink chapel
While inside of the The Belle Époque steals hearts, I love it even more from the outside. This absolutely iconic exterior is the reason a lot of couples book this wedding venue. The iconic pink chapel is a major draw for couples choosing this venue, providing the perfect backdrop for group shots and couples’ portraits. Your wedding photography at Le Petit Chateau will have a beautiful pop of colour from this awesome building.
3. The hidden riverside
Le Petit Chateau’s terrace is a wedding reception dream (in all weathers), but the hidden gem is down by the riverside. If you crave natural, greenery-inspired portraits, this is your haven. But the bonus extra space is down by the river. I love whisking couples away for a few minutes here – a peaceful spot to soak in the day and each other while I capture some stunning, intimate shots.
4. The bridal suite
The Apartment Group who own Le Petit Chateau and a number of other wedding venues, are known for their luxury vibes. That’s particularly true for their hotel rooms, and the bridal suite here is one of my absolute favourites. Bathed in natural light with a balcony overlooking the chapel and terrace, it boasts a four-poster bed and a massive copper bathtub. As a wedding photographer I love it, but you’ll also love waking up here the day after your wedding!
5. The light at Le Petit Chateau is perfect for creative wedding photography
I love that my wedding photography at the Le Petit Chateau can be super creative as the light is very atmospheric. Embracing the darker corners and playing with natural light adds a touch of drama to the photos – something that’s undeniably cool!
So, there you have it – my top 5 reasons why I love being a wedding photographer at Le Petit Chateau. I was also an Apartment Group bride myself, and know the staff there will look after you really well.
