Below are answers to the most common questions my couples ask me! You can also view my 'What to expect' page to find out all about my approach to your wedding day.
Head to my enquiry page and let’s get chatting! On booking, I require a 20% deposit for weddings, or 50% for micro-weddings and elopements. You’ll need to sign and return my Booking Form, which includes my contract and asks for simple booking details like date, venue, contact details etc.
Once I’ve received your deposit and Booking Form, your date is in my diary! I typically send an invoice for the remaining balance a month before your wedding date, which must be paid before your big day. I can also offer payment plans if you'd prefer to spread the cost.
Because of the number of enquiries I receive, often from around the UK, I can’t meet all my couples. Instead, I love doing a video call to chat through your day and get to know you both. Creating that connection between photographer and client is really important for getting the best out of you in front of the camera!
I’m based in London but one of my favourite things about being a wedding photographer is the opportunity for travel! I love it! I’ll happily travel around the UK, and I also shoot destination weddings around the world. Get in touch to get a be spoke quote.
I tend to get booked around a year in advance, sometimes before. So, if you’ve booked your wedding venue and want me to be a part of your day, I suggest popping me a message as soon as possible !
I love to be a resource for you, whether it’s in the form of supplier recommendations, help with wedding timings, or just as a friendly face to chat through any worries, I’m always here for my couples! You can think of me as so much more than just a wedding photographer.
If your wedding is impacted by Government rules and you need to postpone your wedding, I will happily move your date (within 12 months) at no additional cost. If I’m not available on your new date, I’ll find an associate photographer to shoot for me. I would still be your first contact for all communications, and the images would be edited by me in my signature style.
If you decide to cancel your wedding, the deposit is non-refundable.
This has never happened yet, so touch wood! If the worst happened, I would find an associate photographer to shoot your day for me. I have a large network of photographers I trust who I can call upon.
No, instead I like to arrive early on the day to scout some potential couple/group shot locations. Don’t worry, I’ll have plenty of ideas! Even if I have shot at a venue before, I like to use different locations that most fit you as a couple and your wedding!
Of course! Pre-wedding shoots are a great way for us to get to know each other ahead of your big day, and get you used to being on camera. They’re fun and you’ll get some lovely photos which can even be used for your Save the Dates/wedding stationery. You can read my full blog about why I think engagement shoots are important here.
I love to shoot families, engagements, proposals and couples photography! I also do corporate photography, and love to do brand photography for small businesses and entrepreneurs. Contact me to book!
I have public liability insurance and all my kit is insured. I always shoot with two cameras, mainly so I can be agile and not miss a moment, but it also means I have a back up camera on me at all times.
This depends on your package, but I tend to arrive for the last 2hrs of bridal prep, and will shoot until roughly an hour after your first dance. We’ll form a plan that best suits your day when we have our video chat before the big day! The only time I’ll stop shooting and break is when everyone is eating - no one wants photos of that :)
Yes please! Weddings are long days for photographers, and there usually isn’t enough time to leave the venue and find food - I would hate to miss anything! A hot meal for myself (and my second photographer if applicable) is included in my contract.
My aim is to ensure you and your guests have fun and to tell the true story of your day. For this reason, shot lists are not advised. When we have our video chat, I’ll ask what your most important shots are, so I know what to prioritise on the day. The only part of the day I take the lead on are your couple portraits and group shots.
I have written a whole blog on group shots! I suggest keeping them to a minimum - they take time, and I’m sure on your wedding day you’d prefer to be having fun with your guests! Because of the time it can take to gather the required people, one group shot can take 5minutes - use this as a guide when calculating how many you’d like. If you’d like group shots, I’ll ask for a list before your wedding day so I can be prepared and tick it off as we go!
I’ll send you a selection of previews within 24 hours of your wedding, so you can see something and share with friends/family while I edit the rest of your gallery! My normal turn around is 4-5 weeks.
Because of rescheduled COVID weddings, my 2021 diary is very busy, so it may take me slightly longer as I’ll be out shooting. However, I’ll do my best to get your gallery to you as soon as possible!
I’ll send you a private online gallery with the final images. Feel free to share it with friends and family! I’ll also send you a download link so you can have all the high res files before the USB Box gets to you!
I do not deliver every image I take on your wedding day - believe me, you wouldn’t want to see them all! When shooting in a candid nature, there will inevitably be lots of blinkers, faces caught unawares etc. As part of my edit, I’ll remove all of these unwanted images so you get delivered the pure magic. I do not share RAWS - this is an industry standard approach and I want my clients to see the perfect finished gallery, edited in my signature style.
While I spent lots of time on post production of your images, I don’t do retouching.. I want your gallery to be a true representation of your day, and you! If I photoshop your images, it’s usually to remove something distracting from them. Truth be told, I’ve never had to retouch anyone!
I’ll order your USB box as soon as your gallery is finished. Because the boxes are personalised and handmade, the usual turnaround time is a month. If your package includes fine art prints, I’ll prepare and order them as soon as you’ve selected which images you’d like. These normally have a turn around time of 2 weeks.
Of course, I totally encourage you to treasure these memories and display them! My Booking Form has a list of optional extras, and at any point, even after your wedding you can choose if you’d like them. You can read more about my albums, USB Boxes and prints on my Expectations page.
Thank you for stopping by! If I am the perfect fit for your wedding, let's get the conversation going! Fill in the form below to tell me all about your big day and receive my brochure. I cannot wait to get to know you!
