Over Easter I was lucky enough to be part of Maddy and Jacob’s wedding day in the gorgeous old Sussex town of Rye. I met Maddy and Jacob in the George pub for a quick drink before we headed out to their Rye Town Hall Wedding.

The ceremony was small and I felt so honoured to be included, and be a witness! I’ve known Maddy for many years now, having worked together in my old job. It was really special to be able to be there to witness her marry Jacob and spend the day with them.

The ceremony room in Rye Town hall was so pretty, with the names of previous mayors in gold covering the walls, chandeliers and red trim. Definitely a unique place to get married!

Rye itself is the most quaint ancient town and a real gem to use in a photoshoot! However, the real cherry on top if you have a Rye Town Hall wedding is the town cryer. He will announce you to the streets of Rye! I have never seen anything like it. He announced Maddy and Jacob to a crowd of tourists and then walked them down the main street shouting. It was amazing!

After some celebratory prosecco and a meal at The George, we headed back out to take some couple’s photos. The cobbled streets, blossoming trees and ancient architecture really made for the most stunning backdrop.
