My first trip to Scotland

Over the Easter bank holiday, myself and my other half went to Scotland for a wee getaway (getting into the Scottish spirit there). It's the first time I have ever been, but I've been dying to go for ages - The Highlands look insanely beautiful and I can't believe they are on this island we call home.. they look somewhere so far away. We were staying in Pitlochry where we knew a friend who could luckily tell us all the great places to go and walks to try out. I can tell you now, Scotland is camera heaven. Pitlochry was a really cute, peaceful getaway - the complete opposite to London, which is great, and everyone was so friendly - again, so different from London! Out hotel was the Moulin Inn, built in the 1600s - we spent many cosy evenings sat in the bar by the fire with their homemade beer (they have their own brewery). In the days we went on walks around the surrounding countryside - through Pitlochry, Falls of Bruar and up into the Cairngorms National Park (I dragged the other half on a reindeer walk, which was amazing!!). The views in the Cairngorms were absolutely incredible. We also went for a tour of a whisky distillery and visited Blair Castle which was very picturesque (although shame it was raining so we couldn't explore the gardens!)

I can't wait to go back and maybe go deeper into the Highlands - such a stunning place :)
